• Designed 10+ growth experiments focused on improving self-serve SMB customer onboarding and activation, including:

• A redesign of our customer sign-up survey to enable personalization of onboarding content

• Personalization of onboarding content by use case, business goal, and intent

• A new, interactive product demo on Intercom's homepage showcasing the value and UX of Intercom and our Business Messenger

• Co-founded the growth design discipline and framework for product design at Intercom

• Evaluated and contributed new UI component proposals to Intercom's Pulse design system

• Led the design completion of the self-serve end-to-end onboarding and set up guide experience

• Partnered with content design, brand design, research, analytics, engineering, product management, marketing, and sales to refine growth experiment content, UX, and backlog

I mentored UX design students via weekly meetings to discuss design principles, research methods, project work, portfolio creation and career paths.

I worked on improving the app developer experience at Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), which entailed working on and across several product teams that serve app developers and app operators.

My days were spent on research, testing, assumption validation, storyboarding, workflow/journey mapping, and pairing with product managers and engineers.

I also led the maintenance and maturation of Pivotal R&D's open-source design system, styleguide.pivotal.io, and designed CLI and UI experiences for app developers.

Design practice contributions include planning our first design team off-site in Feb 2018 to talk about our vision, practice, career growth, and new designer onboarding; developing best practices for user recruitment and user contact management; preparing a set of guides and templates for product teams to leverage when conducting on-site customer research; teaching quantitative survey design.

TheRightMargin is a goal-driven writing app that helps aspiring authors start and finish their writing projects more successfully. This tool addresses the momentum and morale issues that block writers from finishing and iterating on long-term, complex projects.

I work on all parts of the UX process, including user interviews and research synthesis; user stories, journey maps and wireframes; usability testing, focus groups and surveys; high-fidelity mocks; design documentation; and brand and copy design.
