Built and maintained services that are used by various parts of the TurboTax experience.  I worked on a powerful service that allowed different parts of the experience to create and share data real-time to enable a seamless user experience.  

I also spent significant time working on a small team of coops on an idea that we had.  With executive support, I spent a third of my time at Intuit prototyping the application, conducting user testing, analyzing user feedback and making changes based on the analysis.  As the team's lead backend developer, I designed and documented the server interface and the database schema.  I then worked to implement the server in Node.js with MongoDB as the database.  By the end of my coop, we had developed a fully functional iOS app and received the enthusiastic support of Intuit's founder, Scott Cook.

Worked closely with the VP of Software Engineering to enhance all aspects of the software suite.  My main project was the development of an adapter which enabled call capture integration with Cogito's top insurance customers. I researched and prototyped the use of a third party API with real-time call capture capabilities. After the prototyping phase, I was the main engineer on the design, development and testing of said component.  When it came time to deploy the server, I lead the integration into a sophisticated customer environment.

Helped students augment their understanding of various math courses including Calculus, Statistics, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra.  Worked out of the Northeastern Math Center eight hours a week seeing both students that scheduled appointments and walk-ins.
