Christy Yang is a product designer working at YouTube, where she focuses on helping users discover inspiring content personalized to them. Prior to YouTube, Christy worked on Google Maps where she helped empower users to explore and navigate their world. While on the Maps team, Christy launched a variety of key features including parking and multi-destination routing. She was an early member of Google’s Self-driving car team, designing experiences to empower the elderly to maintain their sense of independence. Prior to becoming a designer she was a pre-medical student where she learned she loved systems but doesn’t care so much for blood.

Designed and launched Multi-destination Routing for iOS & Android, which allows users to plan multiple stops along their journey for Google Maps for Mobile.

Designed and launched Parking Difficulty, which informs users to how difficult it will be to find a parking space at a destination.

[March 2017] 
Designed and launched Saving Parking in Android, which help users remember where they parked. 

[Aug 2017]
Designed the end-to-end Parking experience, including finding parking near a destination when parking is limited.
