The main product consisted of a Linux appliance at each bed connected to RFID and and an optical movement sensor. Mr Kring founded the company, ran it during the early product development stages, then brought in a CEO to manage sales and to oversee fund raising. Dr Kring's development teams supported three products over multiple releases and included kernel, C++ and Java programmers as well as technical writers, test and Q/A, program managers, IT and a SWAT team. The teams averaged two releases of each product per year on 5 platforms: Windows NT, Linux, Solaris, HPUX and AIX. Central Dispatch was a software load balancer that for a while managed a large percentage of traffic on the Internet - it was the primary load balancer for Doubleclick, E-bay, Schway, E-trade and Geocities. Global Dispatch was a DNS-based WAN load balancer.
