▪ Building the next generation of distributed services supporting all of Meta’s (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, AR/VR) media workflows involving Video-On-Demand & Live streaming.

▪ Drove the scalability & reliability of our architecture to accommodate the vast growth in video ingestion.

▪ Led initiatives around efficiency and multi-tenancy of our back-end compute farm resulting in savings in the mid-eight figures in yearly hardware/power costs.

Amazon Publishing Insights:

▪ Led the development for a number of confidential internal projects focusing on data analytics and prediction modeling.

▪ Laid the framework and platform for data gathering, processing, and presentation which is now leveraged by a number of other projects within the organization.

Kindle Scout:

▪ Co-led the design, development, and launch of a brand new crowd-sourced book publishing platform.

▪ Founding member of team tasked with growing the team from 2 to 8+ engineers while spawning off multiple new projects.

Media Services, Website Application Platform:

▪ Worked on a highly scalable and distributed platform for ingesting, rendering, and serving all forms of media used within Amazon's web properties.

▪ Designed and developed a new platform for specifically handling the ingestion and transcoding of videos, and serving the relevant metadata and content.

▪ Designed a new workflow system for handling product image uploads to overcome existing throughput bottlenecks.

▪ Managed the setup and operation of our multi-level caching infrastructure along with external CDNs.

Windows Live Messenger Web Platform:

▪ Founding member of team tasked with building overall test infrastructure for Messenger Web Platform.

▪ Designed and implemented the main functional testing framework used by the team.

▪ Researched and established the state-machine based model for writing all our test cases.

▪ Led the performance testing efforts in the team to reduce overall page load & sign-in time by half.

▪ Designed and setup an automated system for running test automation and generating reports that can be easily analyzed.

▪ Drove the team effort in ensuring test automation pass rates were kept high on a day-to-day basis.
