Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 | Emeryville, CA • Analyzed existing plans and documents of the Marin Civic Center, performed calculations for the structure's existing skylight system to accommodate new glass panels per ASCE 7-10. • Conducted research on the effects of a large wind event to assess damage inflicted on a solar station located in the desert; utilized aerial imagery and weather data to track weather patterns and mirror damage across solar farm’s lifetime. ### Structural Engineering Intern @ KPFF Consulting Engineers Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | San Francisco Bay Area • Designed wood, concrete, cold formed and hot rolled steel members for gravity/lateral forces according to relevant codes; utilized RISA 2D/3D and SAP2000 to determine accurate shear and moment demands under multiple load combinations. • Prepared formal calculations for a wood and steel open trellis structure consisting of relevant loads discussion, gravity and lateral design, and foundation design; package was prepared within a week and submitted to the architect. • Reviewed shop drawings and submittals for trades such as concrete and rebar to ensure compliance with the design intent. • Created structural sketches with appropriate scale and annotations by hand and on Bluebeam Revu; examples include basement retaining walls and shear wall boundary elements.
