Design owner and strategic partner to editorial, technology, and business in creating meaningful and engaging digital products for readers; managing and mentoring junior designers; recruiting and shaping teams; crafting design culture.
Highlights:
•Managed a team of designers to create and implement a design system that supports 20+ brand identities (including The New Yorker, Wired, Vogue) on Verso, Condé Nast’s front-end content experience platform.
•Launched ‘Goings On About Town’ as its own digital experience. Increased traffic by 30%, created revenue stream via native ad units, and was nominated for Webby for best UX 2017.
•Redesigned newyorker.com homepage; increased click-through rate by 3% through A/B testing.
•Pitched and implemented update to modernize newyorker.com with craftsman’s focus on translating iconic typography.
•Migrated newyorker.com to new CMS on time, on budget and in alignment with corporate objectives.
•Iterated on The New Yorker Today (iOS) app to include magazine content, increasing subscriptions by 50%, app store rating from 3.7 to 4.9 stars and engagement by 100%. Currently nominated for Webby.
•Part of cross-brand design leadership team that strengthened team and creative culture. Launched quarterly cross-functional speaker and design-expert series and team building events.
