# Clara Y. > Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at A.G.E.S Learning Solutions Location: Berkeley, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/claray Hi! I'm Clara :) I'm a current MSW student at UC Berkeley (Berkeley Social Welfare), passionate about making mental health care more accessible, inclusive, and culturally responsive. My background is in behavioral health, working closely with neurodiverse children and students with multiple disabilities—including those who are Deaf or visually impaired. Before grad school, I worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and paraeducator, where I learned how to build trust, communicate across barriers, and support clients with empathy and structure. Whether using ABA, adapting communication with ASL, or supporting students in classrooms, I found myself drawn to work that prioritizes human dignity and real-world impact. Right now, I’m diving deeper into clinical work, trauma-informed care, and the intersections of health, disability, and social justice. I'm especially interested in hospital social work, therapy, and care coordination for underserved populations. Always open to learning, collaborating, and connecting—especially with those working in mental health, healthcare, or social impact spaces. Let’s chat! ## Work Experience ### Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) @ A.G.E.S Learning Solutions Jan 2024 – Present Delivered 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in home and school settings Implemented individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collected real-time data and maintained detailed session notes to track client progress and behavioral goals Fostered social-emotional growth and independence through play-based and structured interventions Collaborated closely with families, educators, and clinicians to ensure continuity of care and support ### Paraeducator – Behavioral Support @ Pine Health Jan 2024 – Jan 2025 Provided 1:1 support for a student with multiple disabilities, including hearing and visual impairments (Deafblind), in a specialized classroom setting Adapted communication using basic American Sign Language (ASL), tactile prompting, and visual/physical cues to accommodate sensory needs Collaborated with special education teachers, behavioral therapists, and speech-language pathologists to implement IEP and communication goals Supported mobility, engagement, and emotional regulation through individualized strategies rooted in trauma-informed and sensory-responsive care Promoted a safe and inclusive learning environment through consistency, patience, and responsive support tailored to the student’s sensory and behavioral profile ### Project Lead @ Invention Corps Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 ### Design Consultant @ Invention Corps Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 ### Designer Project Lead @ Fabletics Jan 2023 – Jan 2023 Exercising C-suite leadership by overseeing a team of five designers in executing a thorough website audit and redesign of the website, with a primary focus on enhancing user engagement and advancing understanding of Fabletics' sustainability initiatives. ### Product Designer @ Develop for Good Jan 2023 – Jan 2023 Optimized data management for horse health tracking in therapeutic riding replacing the labor-intensive Excel-based system with a desktop interface that enables greater customization and data management, while reducing manual data entry and adjustments, informed by User Research and Competitive Analysis ### Lead UX/UI Designer @ EZTrain LLC Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 First Designer on the team and worked with a cross-functional team alongside fellow engineers and marketing teams to develop a data management software that automates and organizes readiness information for our targeted audience group, the navy force.
