In Apple's ProVideo department, I lead the Design team responsible for Final Cut Pro, Motion and Compressor. I built a multidisciplinary team of visual designers, interaction designers and domain experts where I strove to foster curiosity in a transparent culture where risk taking was encouraged.
Throughout my tenure in Video Applications, I was responsible for defining user needs and articulating solutions through wireframes, prototypes, presentations and visual explorations. I nurtured feature and app development through to customer ship while iterating, testing and communicating all necessary changes that would improve the end product. I would ensure that the visuals supported the workflow and provide feedback and direction to designers on all aspects of the application’s look, from iconography to layout, color and typography.
