As the first designer at rift, I collaborated with founders and early users to take an AI based product

from 0 to 1 while spearheading the design vision and strategy.

Led the design of features across bot h reader and writer surfaces. I contributed to team management with a formal onboarding process for new design hires, and was a key member of the design system working group.

Projector was a collaborative design tool. I led design across the platform from private beta to public release, including live presentation tools and collaborative workflows.

I led the redesign of our ads manager, analytics products and other features pre IPO. I also led the evolution of our design system while extending its utility and use throughout the company.

I led the design of real-time analytics products that help the publishing industry make strategic content decisions. Advocated—and got buy-in—for the formation of a formal design team and unified our products with a beautiful and functional design system.

UXA (Material Design) was a team focused on creating a single design language and UI framework to transform all of Google’s apps into a beautiful, consistent, mature and accessible platform for its users. The work we did grew into what became Material Design and the team grew to become the Google Design Team.

Instrumental in expanding the company from offering print and branding services to also include digital strategy, web and mobile design and development. Led the design and development of device independent web sites and mobile applications for small to large businesses.

As a technologist I prototyped and developed user interface for many enterprise scale companies such as General Electric, NBC, American Express, Sprint and Virgin Mobile. My team’s focus was on new technologies and techniques for increasing experience quality and accessibility.

For GE, we won the Communication Arts Interactive Information Design: GE.com, AIGA Corporate Communications Design 2008: GE.com, and Nielsen Norman Group 2010 Ten Best Intranets: insideGE awards.
