I’m a full stack software engineer (although more of a front-end dev at heart) and team lead building for the web.

### Staff Software Engineer, Tech Lead @ Coursera
Jan 2019 – Present
I was originally hired at Coursera as a mid-level frontend software engineer working on the Growth Acquisition team. I built dozens of features in React and made strides in optimizing the performance of our web pages. 

In 2020, I was promoted to a senior engineer and transitioned into a full stack role on the Discovery Home team. There I lead projects that involved building backend-for-frontend GraphQL services using Java and Spring Boot and integrated them into our frontend React applications using Apollo.

In 2022, I began an apprentice tech lead role on the Discovery Home team, which eventually lead to being promoted to a staff engineer and permanently leading that team in early 2023. During this time I architected a new frontend application specification that facilitates building configurable pages using common components. I lead my team to implement this framework across highly trafficked pages like the product description and home pages that each serve millions of users a day. 

Today as tech lead, I still write lots of code across both our frontend (Node, React) and backend (Java, Spring Boot) stacks. Ideate on big ideas that drive the technical vision for my team and the org along with helping my team grow by overseeing their projects and providing insight.

Jan 2018 – Jan 2019 | San Mateo, CA
Built AtScale's public website and custom documentation platform, along with working on an enterprise OLAP cube modeling application. I worked with many different teams and multi-tasked every day to attend to the needs of each.

### Web Developer @ Sleepless Media
Jan 2017 – Jan 2018 | Soquel CA
Built and maintained highly customized Shopify and Wordpress websites for many different types of clients. Large focus on responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility. Worked in-office with a team of designers and developers. 

Worked with Javascript, HTML5, CSS, Liquid (Shopify Templating), PHP.
