As a Senior Software Engineer at TerraPower, I have had numerous roles and responsibilities, including managing a team of 4 and leading initiatives that resulted in significant improvements in key areas of our technology stack. 2020 — 2022
During my time as a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Google, I was instrumental in the development and enhancement of important systems and technologies. I used Python Django to totally redesign a transaction service relating to a Point-of-Sale system Google acquired, a critical system responsible for processing over a billion dollars' worth of transactions. In addition, I helped developed a state-of-the-art natural language processing model for handling customer claims relating to the Point-of-Sale system, reducing average customer claim service time by 18%. I also created the CI/CD pipeline for multiple services and linked the Django backend with microservices built in other frameworks, like Node.js, using GCP API Gateways and Lambda functions. Through the use of cursor-based pagination and efficient API calls, I was also able to reduce front-end load times by 60%. Overall, my contributions to the efficiency and scalability of our applications have made me an invaluable member of the Google team.
