Together with a small team, oversaw the design and implementation of a full backed service for a new experimental product related to ACH money movement. Successfully got the service in internal testing mode, complete with bank integrations, monitoring, tooling, alerts, etc. Due to non-engineering related reasons, the product unfortunately didn't progress beyond internal launch.

Advocated for and initiated a project to optimize certain types of API requests by transitioning from a serialized to a concurrent request pipeline. This involved extensive research into existing limitations, understanding the serialization rationale, and developing a migration plan. Successfully implemented concurrent requests, significantly reducing API latencies.

Built the full backend of an initial MVP for the product which was an attempt at a RTP payments processor.

Company needed help with frontend so I dabbled in react-native and typescript. Initially worked on fixing bugs and making small changes, then built a few product screens: address search, address change, user info page. Switched to backend towards the end.

Completely reimplemented (from python to golang) and re-architected the order routing system to be horizontally scalable, fault tolerant and have zero-downtime deploy capabilities. Improved the api and created better separation of concerns between existing systems and the order routing system. Added extensive monitoring and tooling. Added options and crypto trading. Oversaw scaling the system from tens of thousands of orders per day to millions of orders per day.

Built the recommendation rewards system where users can receive a free stock when they recommend others users to join.

Moved the auth system into its own service from the original monolith. Completed the migration of all auth tokens with zero downtime.

Built the debit card transaction processing capabilities for the debit card product.

Advocated for and initiated the project to shard the main product database of the original monolith service.
