Computer Science is a field that necessitates constant learning. This leaves higher education struggling to keep up with some advances, and brings with it a need for self-study. Learning has always been a focus of mine, especially outside of the classroom. Self Study has been vital in my successes, and I pride myself on not only acknowledging when I have more to learn, but also putting forth the effort to learn it. As part of my role in our ACM chapter, I have worked to instill this spirit in others, and help them realize just how necessary it is to learn outside of class.
