• Worked on the Motorola AURA focusing on the drive gears and detent mechanisims and dynamically simulated the mechanism and the phone as a whole to optimize the mechanism functionality.
• Also worked on the MOTOKRZR product design and development team, as well as two other unannounced programs.
• Responsible for the 3D design, testing, and manufacturing setup for a variety of components, including die-cuts, formed sheet metal, insert and injection molded plastics, metal injection moldings (MIM), bearings, hobbed gears and machined parts, connectors and contacts.
• Worked concurrently with EE development teams on PCB and flex circuits.
• Helped manage Pro/E assemblies consisting of over 150 parts and completed tolerance analyses to ensure manufacturability.
• Made trips to Asia and Europe to troubleshoot manufacturing and tooling issues.
