I am an experienced Software Engineer who loves solving complex problems with software solutions. After graduating from Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering, and two solid internship experiences under my belt, I started my career with Lockheed Martin. There I supported a satellite data distribution team working in C++ and Python to maintain and enhance mission critical features. I led an improvement feature on our use of the Elastic Logstash Kibana (ELK) stack for data warehousing of status and metric data on our distributed system. I continued to grow my skills and experienced the full software development lifecycle with developing customer facing web tools and containerized client software. 

I am a fast learner. Right before my 1 year anniversary at Lockheed Martin, I was promoted from Level 1 to Level 2 Software Engineer for providing quantitative value by working on new features, fixing critical bugs, and maintaining clarity and conciseness in not only my code, but my documentation and technical presentations to customers too.

I strive in technical communication, and have leveraged this skill in my mentoring of junior engineers, cross communicating with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, and presenting technical demos for customers. I believe that the ability to communicate your ideas is much more important, and greatly compliments, my ability to solve technical challenges.

I currently hold a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information Security Clearance (TS/SCI Security Clearance)

- Designed and implemented a feature for Docker containerized software to deploy and run on 700+ customer machines to achieve a more secure, reliable and scalable satellite data distribution architecture over secure TCP and SFTP connections. Integrated client software with rsyslog, ZooKeeper, and Qpid

- Developed a website using Django to allow hundreds of customers to request off-cycle changes to their connection configuration, saving our site operators the time and effort to implement these changes themselves. Used Nginx as a reverse proxy and to allow secure HTTP connection

- Improved the validation process of 500+ configuration files in an XML database by writing an XML parser in Python, catching 20+ customer connection errors and saving the team 10+ hours of faulty manual validation every month when changes are entered
