At Movano Health, I led user experience for the Evie Ring, a women-first iOS-connected wearable designed to challenge the gaps in health tech, focusing on sleep, cardiovascular health, and menstrual wellness. I joined as VP of UX to bring the product from unstable prototypes to a real, shipped offering.
Working alongside the SVP of Product, VP of Engineering, and CTO, I created and executed a strategic design plan that unified our efforts across software, hardware, and data science. I hired and managed a cross-functional UX team of nine, spanning interaction design, UX research, motion, and content.
We built and launched a fully featured iOS mobile application, including onboarding, vitals tracking, sleep metrics, and insights across four pillars of wellness. I directed the creation of our net-new design system, built for iOS and ready for Android, with full accessibility support.
One of my most impactful contributions was designing a scientifically grounded super metric that helped users understand whether they had achieved an optimal balance of activity and recovery, validated through three research studies.
I also partnered with our CTO and Head of Data Science to initiate AI/ML-based health insights, surfacing correlations across activity, sleep, menstrual, and heart health based on cohort analysis.
Additionally, I led UX and human factors research in support of our FDA submission for medical device clearance.
