### Lead Software Engineer @ Target

- Built and optimized custom Golang APIs and React/Next.js UIs for deployment tracking and test results, replacing legacy CLI tools with intuitive web interfaces and doubling daily deployment velocity through improved developer experience and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Spearheaded the integration of Fastly's Edge-Compute SSR to optimize content delivery, reducing load times and cutting time to FCP (First Contentful Paint) by 200ms for millions of page loads per day.
- Trained and maintained DDoS "Security Rules" (Sigma style rules) that identified and blocked 98% of malicious traffic and maintained SLAs.
- Hardened pipelines and implemented secret rotations, achieving PCI compliance by scrubbing and monitoring sensitive data from logs and meeting internal security benchmarks.
- Designed and monitored Grafana/Kibana dashboards for better visibility of CDN traffic and APIs.
- Expanded reach and page views for 63 million Spanish speakers (Pew) via a pilot AI real-time translation initiative using Chrome’s embedded Gemini Nano AI.
- Refactored the item-detail UI and search-result pages from a large mono-repo to a microsite architecture, enhancing separation of concerns and team ownership.
 - Revamped the price and promotions UI across multiple repositories, delivering a new UI that showcased 100K Target products and improved user experience.
- Led Target’s online store Deals Team in a total overhaul of the promotions UI experience and collaborated with stakeholders to align on common goals.
- Authored and standardized documentation for code hardening, testing patterns, enterprise Copilot usage instructions, disaster playbooks, and more to support clean code and developer experience for a 100+ member web team.
