This job included: • Acting as technical and commercial touchpoint for any problems with the content pipeline • Developing workflows to transform metadata and validate ebook files • Hiring and managing the QA team that was elbows deep preparing 10k+ titles for delivery This time I was involved with building and releasing a new product, the new Xeriph dashboard: from preparing databases for migration to wireframing and collecting user feedback after launch, it was my first time doing all of this stuff, and it was my first role actively working with UX. ### Operations Assistant - Ecommerce @ Xeriph Digital Distribution Jan 2012 – Jan 2012 In this role I was assisting the daily operation of the Gato Sabido e-commerce (ebooks and digital games). From deciding which catalog should go on the homepage, to writing newsletters and adwords campaigns, it was my first experience with marketing and being responsible for conversion. • Managing catalog: new entries, highlights, sales, categorization • Newsletter & Facebook campaigns • Monitoring sales metrics, google analytics, Adwords CTR, newsletter open rates I was also the touchpoint for publishers and international content aggregators, which later led me to my next role in Xeriph. ### Commercial & Support Intern @ Xeriph Digital Distribution Jan 2010 – Jan 2011 Xeriph is an ebook aggregator and owner to Gato Sabido, the first e-book companies in Brazil. They spear-headed the e-book market years before Amazon arrived in Brazil. This being my first tech internship, I learned a lot and did pretty much everything that fell on my table. From commercial meetings, to draft commercial proposals to debugging API integrations with partners, I did pretty much everything an intern could do. • Primary technical support to publishers and API support for bookstores • Writing technical documentation • Drafting commercial proposals and presentations ### Production Intern @ N-Imagem Jan 2009 – Jan 2010 N-Imagem is an experimental art department at UFRJ where André Parente, the lead professor, creates interactive installations, art exhibitions and short films.
