# Daniel G. > Engineering @ Tennr Location: New York, New York, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/danielg ## Work Experience ### Founding Software Engineer @ Tennr (YC W23) Jan 2023 – Present | New York City Metropolitan Area Today, when you go to your doctor and get referred to a specialist, your doctor sends out a referral and tells you, “They’ll be in touch soon.” So you wait. And wait. Sometimes days, weeks, or even months. Why? Because too often providers are overwhelmed with the painstakingly tedious work required to get paid by insurance companies. Powered by proprietary models, Tennr handles the complex paperwork that gets patients through the door and providers paid, helping operators to capture more referrals, cut denials, and reduce care delays. ### Software Engineer @ Cruise Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | San Francisco, California, United States Worked on route planning for autonomous vehicles. ### Software Engineering Intern @ Lyft Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 | San Francisco Bay Area Designed and implemented an alerting feature for an internal Lyft business metric dashboard tool. Implemented the backend, team-specific metric retrieval and alerting library (golang), iterated & deployed the alerting service (golang), developed frontend alerting workflow (next.js), and worked directly with business operation stakeholders to create financial-specific alerts and get feedback on the alerting feature for more iteration. ### Software Engineering Intern @ Lyft Jan 2020 – Jan 2020 Implemented distributed data processing jobs in Python using Apache Spark (Pyspark) and Lyft's open-source data processing platform, Flyte, and evaluated quality of data pipeline as part of the Map Ingestion team at Lyft. Jobs downloaded, processed, stored, & surfaced the latest additions and modifications to openly-sourced map data and metadata for internal use-cases. ### Engineering Practicum Intern @ Google Jan 2019 – Jan 2019 | Greater Seattle Area Implemented an internal API service in C++ using Google’s internal RPC and server framework as part of a Google Physical Security Engineering team. The API Service retrieves an image frame from a video file at a particular timestamp as part of the team’s infrastructure. Implemented the server binary and service implementation in C++, implemented a protobuf API interface for the service, and uploaded the server binary to Google’s internal machine management system to actively run and serve requests. ### Engineering Practicum Intern @ Google Jan 2018 – Jan 2018 | Mountain View Implemented an image clustering data-pipeline in C++ using Google’s internal parallel data-processing pipeline library as part of the Machine Perception, Image Understanding team. The pipeline retrieved, processed, and embedded images (in C++) using the latest internal candidates for image embedding models and then clustered them as part of a Google Photos image clustering demo. Wrote a compact C++ library for executing internal image embedding processes on a given input of raw image bytes and producing immediate embedding results. ### Computer Science Summer Institute @ Google Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Los Angeles, California Participated in an intensive programming institute learning web app development in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python and Google App Engine from Google engineers. Created various small projects; learned how to utilize Python and Google App Engine in order to create the backend server code for a group project that kept track of the daily wages and paychecks of each unique user that had signed into the site. ## Education ### Master's degree in Computer Science Stanford University Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 ### Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Stanford University Jan 2017 – Jan 2021 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/daniel-guillen --- Source: https://flows.cv/danielg JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/danielg/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-20
