Identified and introduced a series of quality tests to determine suitable build materials in the construction of earthen floors.  Became proficient in lab protocols for soil texture analysis (hydrometer and decantation methods) in order to design and manufacture a device for particle size analysis in the field via cost efficient centrifugation.  Additionally, studied various clay types and swell characteristics to determine how to best control for structurally consistent construction with naturally composite materials.
