# Daniel Hurwit > Sr. Staff Software Engineer at ServiceNow Cloud Observability (formerly Lightstep) Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/danielhurwit I’m a Senior Staff Software Engineer focused on building reliable, scalable platforms at the intersection of distributed systems, observability, and product impact. At ServiceNow Cloud Observability, I led the development of a net-new synthetic monitoring product from concept to $10M ARR, while providing technical leadership across multiple teams. My work has included re-architecting critical systems to move availability from three nines to five, improving on-call health through better alerting and standards, and building distributed systems that handle high-throughput, asynchronous workloads. Previously at Drift, I worked on real-time inference and backend platforms, including integrating an acquired ML product, improving reliability, and leading cost-efficiency efforts that saved over $1M annually. I’m most energized by designing durable distributed systems, improving reliability and observability, and mentoring engineers. Always happy to connect with folks building complex systems at scale.
