Created complex queries utilizing Mongo’s multistage aggregation pipelines to transform and retrieve data efficiently.

Developed the backend architecture for a product information page with a database of over 52 million records.

Performed an ETL process on a dataset by extending Node’s transform class capabilities for streams, allowing for a modular and fine tuned approach in data cleaning.

Optimized complex queries by building responses with Postgres’ JSON formatting functions and binary tree indexing, reducing query times from 60ms to 5ms.

Stress tested system architecture using Loader.io, K6, and CloudFront to pinpoint bottlenecks and scale accordingly.

Launched 7 EC2 instances to horizontally scale and handle load balancing with Nginx, allowing for a throughput of 1,850 RPS from an initial starting point of 750 RPS, an increase of over 145%.

Used React stateful components with a responsive UI to bring interactivity with the user and an API, allowing the user to filter, sort, and write reviews.

Utilized React Suspense to reduce time to first meaningful paint from 24s to less than 2s.

Implemented a TDD approach using Jest and Enzyme with a code coverage of 50%
