# Darren Chan > Design @ LinkedIn Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/darrenchan I'm a product designer at LinkedIn working on revamping its enterprise advertising platform. Building a human-centric, intuitive experience that can accommodate the polarizing needs of both novice and expert advertisers is what currently keeps me up at night. My expertise ranges the length of the UX scale with experience in strategic and tactical user research, user personas, user flows, information architecture, systems thinking, interaction design, visual design, storytelling, product management, enthusiasm. An avid puzzler, I am passionate about taking problems and dissecting them a billion ways before zeroing in on an optimal solution given real-world constraints. I operate on endless optimism and the desire to make the world a more beautiful place through simplicity. Ain't nobody got time for the mundane frustrations often encountered in daily life. Also gummi bears. Can't forget the gummi bears. ## Work Experience ### Staff UX Designer @ LinkedIn Jan 2023 – Present ### Manager, Product Design @ LinkedIn Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 Led a team of 4 designers focused on projects to holistically elevate the ad experience across LinkedIn for both advertisers and LinkedIn members. - Collaborated with cross-functional peers to evolve the overarching ad experience strategy, with notable considerations being how to better support a content-first advertising approach as well as how generative AI might fit in. - Introduced team operational processes to help the team grow, inspire and learn from each other, and be celebrated for their hard work. - Co-led effort to migrate the whole Ad product ecosystem to the new upgraded design system, working closely with product and eng to chunk out digestible milestones to work towards so that we could still make progress in the face of lack of top-down resourcing constraints. - Shipped key, high impact features to the benefit of both advertisers and LinkedIn members, from new ad formats for advertisers so that they can better engage their audiences (eg.
