As the first Lead UX Designer in an organisation with over 6,000 employees and 75 offices globally, I introduced and drove a design-led process rooted in a qualitative research approach, providing a contextual understanding of customer pain-points during the iterative journey toward implementing data-driven B2B digital services for the Energy industry. My contribution across various business streams enabled the LR product teams to recognise opportunities as well as design trade-off implications with greater clarity on both a technical and commercial scale. Value shown in the following areas for SaaS applications:
• Reduction in wasted team hours by addressing ill-defined user problems and UX deliverables.
• Contributed to speed to market by offering the right amount of user evidence (from conducted lean UX research) to better inform design decision-making and Road Map priorities.
• Practised UI code-free prototyping for validated learning – lessening burden on Software Engineering teams.
• Partnered with Dev for a smooth hand-off of UI design requirements.
• Incorporated best practice Interaction Design principles to increase adoption rates for a data dense product suite, relied upon by FTSE 100 customers that operate in high risk environments.
