Conduct make-ready licensing walks and individual utility poles surveys for Verizon with Consolidated Edison (the local utility) and the fiber customer via Verizon's Joint Use Agreement with Con Edison. This is to grant the fiber optic companies a license to attach their proposed cable(s)on utility poles in the New York metropolitan area. These locations cover the New York City boroughs of the Bronx, Brooklyn. Queens, and Staten Island. I interact with engineers and installers ot these companies several times per week, interacting with Con Edison to agree on a safe height to the proposed cable and determine if the existing pole needs replacing. If so, I personally perform surveys on these poles that are inadeqate, defective, or unsafe in some way so as to make the newly installed fiber optic cable and pole safe for workers and the general public. In addition, I use NJUNS to upload my findings on the individual pole surveys and pole walks. I also use Google Earth and Maps extensively to locate the poles in question, gaining longitude and latitude information among other data.
2023 — 2025
Conduct High Level Surveys for various commercial and residential buildings (and some substations when necessary) in the NYC Metropolitan area. This is to determine the most efficient method to install Verizon FiOS. Present my findings to outside plant (OSP) engineering and construction personnel using Microsoft Office, and Visio applications. Utilized various Verizon apps during what I do. Also performed miscellaneous surveys for engineers to determine locations of equipment and other telecom equipment. Interacted with property managers, Verizon engineers, building superintendents, and tenants on my tasks.

2021 — 2023
Perform various types of surveys for AT&T, re: Pole surveys whereby I determine pole condition, height, class, make-ready work, distances between poles and what attachments are on the pole to determine proper installation of AT&T fiber optic cable; in addition, I performed third party pole surveys with Con Edison and Verizon representatives in attendance to determine location of proposed AT&T fiber optic cable on the pole, what adjustments need to be made to accommodate the AT&T fiber. I also performed cell site surveys to determine locations of telecom equipment in Purcell boxes or other locations within cell site platform. All these surveys were done in the five boroughs of the City of New York and Nassau and Suffolk Counties. In addition, MHBO (manhole breakout) surveys are performed. Locations of these handholes are determined and measurements taken of other underground utilities so as to minimize interference of proposed AT&T equipment.
2021 — 2021
2021 — 2021
Perform traffic surveys for outside plant engineering on New York State roads for the purpose of gaining permits to place and splice aerial and underground fiber optic cable on and under these roads. Present my findings to outside plant (OSP) engineering and construction personnel using Microsoft Office, One Note, and Visio applications. Also perform miscellaneous surveys for engineers to determine locations of equipment locations and other telecom equipment. Handling the OSP engineering budget for Long Island. If overages occur, I interact with the engineer to determine why, when, and how much cost to complete. Use various Verizon apps to perform these tasks.

2016 — 2021
Performed telecommunications field surveys in greenfield and overlay multi-dwelling units (MDUs) in the City of New York for path creation of fiber optic cable and equipment for internet, telephone, and television. Assess each customer premise’s needs to provide them with these services in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Engaged customers and others in the building in the benefits of this state-of-the-art technology. Designs include equipment locations, cable placement and measurement and sizing of terminals. Also performed Hi-Cap surveys and high-level surveys at business locations and cell-site locations and PSEG substations in Nassau and Suffolk Counties for TLS fiber optic installations. I engaged these business customers in the benefits of this service and how they will be served. Performed traffic surveys for outside plant engineering on New York State roads for the purpose of gaining permits from D. O. T. to place and splice aerial and underground fiber optic cable on these roads. Presented my findings to outside plant (OSP) engineering and construction personnel using Dexter, Microsoft Office, One Note, and Visio applications. Performed quality control audits on Verizon-contracted field work in several out-of-state locations.
