Current roles and responsibilities:

• Manage Devops, automation teams and automation test frameworks within Broadcast System Engineering (BSE) to make deployment schedules shorter and increase productivity.

• Lead DevOps and QA automation teams, including mentoring, managing workload priorities, measuring staff performance and promoting professional development

• Facilitate technical input and growth opportunities for further automation improvement

• Lead automation project plan, scope, schedule and implementation of tests within the automation framework

• Conduct weekly training sessions to train Engineers on CICD pipeline Tools (JIRA, Bitbucket-GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Chef, Puppet and AWS components -EC2, S3, ECB, AWS Code pipeline, etc.)

• Successfully trained team members on newly purchased tools (ITKO LISA virtualization, Appdynamics, Jenkins, JIRA, Ansible, AWS, Chef, etc.)

• Create and maintain best practices document that is used by team members to create automated shell scripts and deploy micro-services using DevOps toolset

• Maintain all automated scripts and test assets in GIT and subversion (Version control system)

• Experience in creating data driven tests using Selenium and Apache POI (microsoft excel api)

• Experience in creating and using Page Object Model, TestNG, BDD frameworks in Selenium WebDriver for web automation and Rest Assured for API automation

• Experience in creating scripts using HP loadrunner/SoapUI/Postman and also monitoring tests for any bottlenecks related to performance of the application under test

• Manage issues, enhancements and apply patches to automation/performance test tools

• Serve as point of contact to escalate any issue related to tools and automation test activities to higher management

• Manage DevOps and automation web blog within Directv network for training purposes

Coding, debugging, gathering requirements from the client in a team environment. Primarily using JAVA, C#, Visual Basic 5, Visual C++ 5, and Access 8 to create components for a soon to be released AATS product and a prototype for another product to be released mid to late next year. One of my many accomplishments was to create what I call a "three dimensional associative array" and the beginnings of "Slice and Dice", a Visual Basic add-in used to create complex object structures from relational databases (turnkey database persisted objects).
