In my previous role, I lead numerous web application development projects and large-scale system designs for Kohl's online services - gather and refine business requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare technical specifications, deliver end-to-end design, and oversee implementation and troubleshooting. I direct a team of developers to manage multi-million-dollar projects - Buy Online Ship to Store, Same Day Delivery, Predicted Delivery Date, 3D Security, and Third-party Checkouts.
• Implemented API design using open-source technologies for Kohls.com - boosted microservices to support 30K transactions per second and order spike of 40K purchases per minute. Oversaw API management for authentication, rate limiting, trafficking, and routing with APIGEE.
• Deployed migration of legacy ATG platform to open-source based stack on cloud platform. Enhanced JVM configurations, heap usages, hotspot thread reduction, caching, logging, HTTP connection pooling, database query optimizations, and database connection pooling.
• Directed microservices for corporate-wide customer checkout upgrades - integrated customer payment option for Master Pass and Visa Checkout to include a one-time authentication and redirection back to Kohl's site.
• Resolved legacy system performance issues with novel database ID generation algorithm across VM's, delivered proof-of-concept, and implemented algorithm.
• Migrated Kohl's-owned MySQL datacenter to Google Cloud Migration, designed domain-based cart and checkout services, and directed data migration from customer cart in Oracle to MySQL.
• Launched Kohl's 3D security for credit card payments and led behavioral fraud initiative - established 3D transaction security, integrated Kohl's credit card with Master Card product (NuData Security), and collected customer biometric information with JavaScript to calculate customers' behavioral scores. Developed fraud rules based on scores to accept or deny customer order.

In my previous position, I headed multiple software development projects for a leading drug store company with focus on Oracle ATG Web Commerce. I collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to create project-specific technical specifications and design software to exceed enterprise-wide goals. • Oversaw end-to-end strategy for multisite integration of newly acquired retailers onto single ATG platform - employed adaptive model using ATG Rest MVC to improve user experience across all platforms.
• Spearheaded affiliate and channel-specific promotions project - promoted Walgreens with a link for each affiliate to identify channel source, provided customer discounts based on channel, and paid affiliates when orders placed.
• Advanced efficacy of customer order fulfillment process with development of OAP, a unified fulfillment system.
• Managed several Walgreens payment and billing projects - enhanced ATG omni channel payment for order online and pay in store option; consolidated shipping, payment, and product details on single page; achieved Single Sign-on for PayPal users; and migrated ATG Bill Me Later from Cyber Source to BML Pay Capture.
• Enhanced ATG Address Book and FSA +SIGIS - achieved universal FSA card acceptance with implementation of payment processing through government-owned SIGIS.
