I'm a full-stack engineer with a UI/UX background and a strong desire to write the most elegant code possible. 

Previously, as a software engineer at Ab Initio, I was able to explore working independently and in small teams while honing my skills solving complex problems. Although I found success independently learning about the nuances of the existing systems, I felt most successful when I could combine my deep understanding with effective technical communication to facilitate the success of my teammates and peers. 

I'm primarily looking for positions that will challenge me to continue learning, but I would also appreciate opportunities to participate in the success of my teammates.

### Software Engineer @ Ab Initio Software

Lead full-stack developer on a web application servicing hundreds of concurrent users.
Architected a new server permissions model in Express to patch a privilege escalation vulnerability.
Doubled server-side logging and increased client-side logging to improve debugging capabilities.
Redesigned client permission models to better map user roles to application features. 
Designed an abstract object comparator in ES6 to optimize server object creation by at least 50%.
Led small team through a major Node.js version upgrade (v10.16 -> v16.17).
Created onboarding documents to facilitate knowledge transfer to new developers. 
Maintained Maven build and Python release pipeline infrastructure. 
Designed and taught a Git introduction workshop. 
Supported end-user workflows through redesigns, bug-hunting, and UI/UX improvements.
Managed divergent release versions in Git.
Established initial Cypress testing framework.

Analyzed neuronal activity as the basis for recognizing emotional valence in autism spectral disorder patients
Wrote a new mathematical model to link neuronal activity and fMRI data that increased precision by an order of magnitude.
