I am an Embedded Software Engineer specializing in software/firmware development for embedded microcontroller applications. 

A bit about me:

I love LEGOs and video games. These two somewhat simple hobbies have bled into my career and become the backbone of my passion for engineering. Developing software/firmware is never quite as straightforward as putting LEGO pieces together or leveling up using side quests to tackle the main questline. But these activities define my approach to creativity and problem-solving and serve as the foundation for the professional skills I have today. 

Much like a kid might lose themselves in a LEGO set or a video game, the challenge of devising the most elegant and optimal placement of a piece in a puzzle is so appealing that I often find myself losing track of time. I am endlessly searching for opportunities to add to my toolbox to improve my creativity and problem-solving skills.

At Advanced Photonic Sciences, I collaborate with a small team of four cross-disciplinary engineers to design and construct numerous laser-based commercial and private products that push the boundaries of the industry. We carefully examine and compare several different hardware platforms to evaluate the best choices for implementing desired project functionalities while optimizing for cost and development time. I develop software/firmware for controlling hardware that typically involves digital communication, peripheral drivers, sensor configuration/control, and data logging.
