• As Project engineer for DARPA One-Shot program authored a winning proposal and successful completion of initial program phase. Technical lead designing a shock hardened laser rifle mounted measurement system providing a shooter offset aim point using down range wind speed measurement, laser range finding, environmental measurements, position\orientation, integrated ballistic algorithm and through sight display. As projects cost account manager responsible for budget and monitoring the program to earned value management (EVM).
• Project Engineer for Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) responsible as technical lead coordinating design effort and supporting high rate production facility achieving a 99% rolled throughput delivering >5000 kits (scheduled to deliver >20,000 kits).
• Project Engineer for Dismounted Combat ID and Target Location (DCID-TALON) program designing the first through site scope displaying situational awareness information to the dismount soldier. Technical lead and cost account manager integrating optical communication system, laser range finder, laser scanner, display, GPS and compass to provide combat identification and situational awareness to reduce fratricide.
• Electrical engineer for multiple Free space optical communication projects utilizing modulating retro reflectors, quantum well modulators, InGaAs APD pin diodes, high speed A/D’s, FPGA and embedded processor. Responsible for MATLAB wave optics simulation of laser propagation through atmosphere, VHDL and CCA design.
