### Software Development Engineer @ Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Jan 2022 – Present | New York, New York, United States
Developing APIs, SDKs, UIs and data pipelines for AWS Billing. Building highly available microservices in Java/Kotlin, React/TypeScript UIs, and Python automation tools. Designing and implementing scalable, service-oriented and event-driven architectures for cloud usage metering at planet scale. Currently focused on systems for ingesting and interpreting contracts for bill computation and augmenting financial analysts with AI agents.

- Built invoice consolidation workflow to drive E-Invoicing adoption amongst AWS's largest enterprise customers, which was a key contributor to my organization's 3-day reduction in Time-to-Bill and $40MM improvement in Free Cash Flow.

- Built multi-region, fault-tolerant RESTful APIs powering billing data flows, SDKs and console features, optimized for 1K+ TPS/region and sub-second latency.

- Led development of high-availability console features used by millions of developers globally, with 99.99% uptime.

- Designed scalable ingestion pipelines and state machines for accurate real-time usage metering of cloud services for arbitrary pricing models.

- Implemented zero touch region expansion for the team's entire product portfolio. Time to support new entities cut from three weeks to one day.

- Launched service and UI to persist arbitrary query expressions that can reliably map legal text to product SKUs for bill computation, preventing ~$17MM/year in billing failures.

- Collaborated with UX researchers and PMs to rapidly prototype and iterate on enterprise-facing product surfaces.

- Mentored interns and junior engineers; oversaw projects including legal text variant classifier & API to MCP client code generation.

- Drove operational excellence through on-call rotations, system monitoring, and proactive incident response.
