- Implemented an observability framework to enable performance monitoring of money movement systems. Provides performance and business logic metadata per transaction (2M+/month) at near real time (5 mins delay). Used AWS services like Kinesis Data Firehose, Glue Data Catalog, and Redshift Spectrum. 

- Created advanced dashboard to provide visibility of money movements systems to business and engineering teams. Set up critical alerts to identify system downtime about 5 minutes after an incident.

### Software Engineer Intern @ Stori
Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | Mexico City, Mexico
- Co-developed a platform to process multi-provider inbound interbank payments, persist them, and process them with a multiple core banking systems. Used Golang and AWS CDK (Lambda, ECS, SQS, SNS) with CDK. Guarantees idempotency and resiliency to DB, Infra, or provider outages. Product teams interact with the simplified API rather than providers and cores directly. 

- Designed and implemented a CI/CD pipeline to automate database deployments in the QA environment. Used Liquibase, Jenkins, Shell, GitHub Actions, and Node.js. Eliminated schema drift between QA and PROD databases enabling reliable testing, and simplified developer workflows by reducing manual SQL DDL execution. Onboarded the whole tech organization to the new flow.

Rewrote a node of Meta's Continuous Deployment (CD) system. It allows developers to execute highly customized steps on a pipeline by providing a job configuration. Used Rust to improve robustness and efficiency over the existing Python implementation.

Backend developer at the card delivery and payments teams. I automate manual processes and develop APIs for new features, as well as refactor and optimize existing ones. I use AWS, Python, Airflow, Github, and Grafana on a daily basis. In addition to development, my work also includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the existing resources in my team's stacks.

### R Package Developer @ Google Summer of Code

Google Summer of Code 2021 @ The R Project for Statistical Computing
Developed an R package that performs changepoint analysis on time series using the Binary Segmentation algorithm and some other variations. It supports several statistical distributions with their specific cost functions. 
Internally, the package uses C++ to compute the model, and then interfaces with R using Rcpp. Since an object oriented structure was used, the package is seamlessly extensible.
