• Developed a experimental endoscopy device for improved metastatic cancer screening and led its testing in human clinical trials in collaboration with surgeons.

• Experience with two-photon-excited fluorescence, confocal microscopy and spectroscopy.

• Researched the phenomena of polarized imaging using theoretical and experimental means such as creating optical phantoms using polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and collagen.

Led the development, and maintenance of a web-based Python Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to lower the barrier of entry to computer science and robotics, and simplify IoT controls. The IDE can run on LEGO Mindstorms devices, Mac, Linux (including Raspberry Pi.) Managed a team of over ten interns working simultaneously on developing features for the IDE
