# Diogo Lucas > Staff Engineer at Stripe Location: Mountain View, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/diogo A nerd with a taste for working with people, I started as a dev -- never stopped being one at heart -- and eventually reached the role of enterprise architect, acting in between as dev lead, software architect, teacher (still am) and experimenting with a number of roles available in our industry (from support to business analysis). I believe in agile over traditional, empowerment over micromanagement, distributed over centralized, continuous improvement over obsessive planning and try to practice what I preach on a daily basis. For the alphabet soup, I have a fair amount of experience on development languages and frameworks (.net, javascript, Java, ...), enterprise integration (EIPs, SOA, APIs) and design patterns and, finally, processes (TDD, CI/CD, Scrum, SDLC). For the most important thing, people interaction, I have 10+ years experience in teaching, am a big enthusiast of coaching (both sides of the fence) and do my best to try to lead by example. Oh, and I still haven't got the knack of talking about myself in the third person... ## Work Experience ### Staff Engineer @ Stripe Jan 2021 – Present ### Senior Software Architect @ Atlassian Jan 2017 – Jan 2021 | Sydney, Australia Lead architect at Atlassian Platform, working on cross-org impacting initiatives. ### Enterprise Architect @ AGCO Corporation Jan 2013 – Jan 2017 | Canoas, RS Architectural design and overview Main point of contact for technical-related matters in South America Interface/interlock/capacity planning Roadmap/project planning ### Professor @ Uniritter Jan 2011 – Jan 2017 Teaching engineering practices for cloud-native apps. ### Software Architect @ Dell Jan 2010 – Jan 2013 Architectural design and overview Main point of contact for technical-related matters Interface/interlock/capacity discussions Roadmap/project planning ### Development Leader @ Dell Jan 2008 – Jan 2010 See "Developer" activities for technical matters.
