Worked on a task to design, architect and develop a custom data acquisition and analysis solution. Invented a flexible, extensible data model and schema, developed a dynamic ajax-based web UI, interfaced it with other systems via web services. 

Oracle and Postgres were used as databases, Python as the main development language, with portions of DHTML/Javascript and C# where appropriate.

A 50% feature complete working prototype has been delivered. 

In late 2006 the entire department was dismissed due to company-wide financial problems. Former colleagues seemingly still develop the system elsewhere by the time of writing (March 2007).

Design, architect and develop (partly) a custom corporate web portal engine. A complex database, sophisticated data sorting and retrieval, modular XML-based page layouts. Very fast. J2EE on Websphere 3.5, Oracle 9i as the database.

First version has been shipped and used by IBS, a major Russian IT company, for several years; disused in 2005.

The company was a web startup and dissolved later in 2002 for various reasons.
