As a founding member of Lob's infrastructure team, much of my work centered around creating best practices and tooling to help the engineering team more easily and securely create AWS cloud infrastructure. A non-exhaustive list of things I have been lucky to do at Lob include
•establishing a culture of defining AWS resources using Terraform
•facilitating a cross-account resource migration (including production RDS databases and S3 buckets)
•maintaining a multi-account multi-VPC networking ecosystem through VPC peering and routing
•maintaining an in-house logging pipeline, based on Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Redis
•bootstrapping a beta Kubernetes cluster and CLI tooling to deploy to it
•setting up and peering a Pritunl VPN server with our internal infrastructure
