# Dominic M. > Senior Software Engineer @ NVIDIA Location: Houston, Texas, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/dominicm Software Engineer interested in building durable, well understood solutions and helping others to do the same. ## Work Experience ### Senior Software Engineer @ NVIDIA Jan 2022 – Present ### Senior Software Engineer @ 1Password Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 ● Member of ongoing architecture working group. Helping inform the design of a long lasting durable and consumable platform. ● Researched industry standards and Unicode best practices for dealing with international text. Developed a search and ranking system which could process millions of words a second regardless of locale. Educated and pushed engineering to think about non-English text. ● Helped new and old teams use platform tools previously built. Pushed them towards best practices and ensured they understood why our architecture worked as such. Reduced developer friction where possible. ### Software Engineer @ 1Password Jan 2019 – Jan 2021 ● Designed a low friction interface to move byte streams across multiple Foreign Function Interfaces (FFI). This allowed Rust engineers on the “backend” to embed or fetch resources that the “frontend” could easily consume. This made it easier to display rich content across all apps. ● Informed the design of in-memory data operations and developed the cache semantics used in the application. ● Researched risks with adoption of WASM as a compilation target. Documented challenges and prepared potential fixes for this restrictive environment. Provided insight to other developers on how to write code that would not preclude WASM adoption. ● Worked with the principal engineer to design and develop the application runtime and state management. Helped other developers to apply and use the design. Used this interaction to understand need and reduce friction. ● Aided in the design and implementation of the message bus that formed the bases for FFI communication for the next generation of 1Password products. ### Systems Engineer @ American National Jan 2017 – Jan 2019 | League City, Texas • Developed and deployed an extended Asset Management system with C# and React. It sat next to and leveraged existing infrastructure. This reduced the amount of time IT departments were spending doing data entry. • Streamlined and centralized the onboarding process for cross functional teams across the organization with automation powered by .NET. Drastically decreasing cognitive load on all support teams and decreased the amount of time managers spent onboarding employees. • Converted manual, error-prone, and multi-step processes into simple point and click interfaces. Increasing the reliability of ITIL pipelines through automation. ## Education ### University of Houston-Clear Lake Jan 2016 – Jan 2018 ### Undeclared San Jacinto College Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/moormandominic --- Source: https://flows.cv/dominicm JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/dominicm/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-22
