Passionate about complex systems, fine food and drink, and growth.  Software development has always been a passion, even when my life was focused elsewhere. 

I spent years devoted to being the very best in all aspects of hospitality from sommelier, to bar director, to a trainer of the next generation of bartenders.  It's incredible how useful I find those skills in my daily life as a software engineer now, as I come up with creative solutions to real world problems and use powerful communication tools to help make teams stronger from the inside.

Assisted in the opening, staff training, and cocktail development at four LEYE restaurant openings in two years.

Joined Evan and Sarah Rich soon after their opening of Rich Table.  Was quickly promoted to Bar Manager, and created a hyper-seasonal cocktail menu focused on local produce.  Assisted in the development of the wine program and specialized in terroir-driven Old World wines. Maintained less than 15% cost of goods.
