As Principal Interaction Designer, I led the creation of Cerulean, Blue Shield’s first enterprise design system—driving adoption and visual consistency across both B2C member experiences and B2B provider platforms. I collaborated closely with engineering and product teams to align interaction design, documentation, and implementation standards across the organization.
• Directed all interaction design and UI documentation for Cerulean, establishing scalable design patterns and accessibility standards.
• Managed and mentored a team of UX/UI contractors (up to 8 direct reports), strengthening cross-team collaboration and performance.
• Continued hands-on design and strategy work to ensure cohesive user experiences across multiple digital initiatives.
• Partnered across functions to promote data-driven, user-centered design practices that supported accessibility (ADA/WCAG) compliance.
