I built 15 server end points (Express JS) connecting to 2 database functions (MongoDB). I connected this backend to multiple external API’s to fetch reviews and the best sellers list from the New York Times and to fill in book details from Google Books and GoodReads. The React app, styled with Material UI, consisted of many pages including the Best sellers list, Book details, User details, and Search results. Users could add reviews, star ratings, and flag books as favorites to view them later in their profile. Users could sign up and login with a username and encrypted password.
