My name is Dylan and I'm a Software Engineer who specializes in Deep Learning.
I have an unusual background, holding a Bachelors degree in Biology and over 6 years experience in the software development industry. My experience gives me a robustness of knowledge that lends itself well to using code to solve problems in wide variety of domains.

I've enjoyed building things since I was young. Rather than growing up and stowing away the Legos and K'nex forever, I moved to software engineering - a domain where I could build and iterate cool and useful things way faster than I ever could with physical engineering.

I particularly love deep learning because it allows me to build things to accomplish tasks that seem like science fiction. It lets me to appreciate interesting and valuable patterns in huge amounts of information that no one may have seen before.
And I think that's just really neat.
