# Edward Fraser > Product Manager | CITRIS Fellow | Human–AI Interaction & Safety Location: Berkeley, California, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/edwardfraser 👋 Hi, I’m Edward, a Product Manager working at the intersection of Human–AI Interaction and AI Safety. 🚀 I build AI products that feel powerful but intuitive — tools that are easy to understand, genuinely empowering, and designed to be adopted in real workflows. For me, safety is part of good design: clarity builds trust, and trust drives impact. 🧩 I started in tech consulting, leading Data & AI transformation for a global eCommerce platform, aligning large agile teams to deliver change at scale. I also co-founded Building Blocks, an internal L&D venture at the world’s largest advertising group that empowered teams to turn emerging technologies into prototypes and client engagements. 🔍 I’m a resourceful PM who learns directly from user research. I get in front of users, study how they interact with systems, and turn that insight into practical product direction. I’ve led Human–AI interaction research with Google and Salesforce, and run experiments at UC Berkeley measuring how AI interface design shapes user behaviour. 🏛️ I’m currently a CITRIS Fellow at the California Department of Technology, helping define AI readiness and responsible deployment frameworks for public institutions. ✨ I’m most excited by teams building AI where interaction design, empowerment, and usability matter just as much as model capabilities. ## Work Experience ### Responsible Technology Fellow @ California Department of Technology Jan 2026 – Present | Sacramento, California, United States ### Academic Sabbatical @ Publicis Sapient Jan 2024 – Present | California, United States Master's of Information Management & Systems at University of California, Berkeley (2024-2026), specialising in applied data science, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interaction. ### Level 2 Associate Product Manager @ Publicis Sapient Jan 2023 – Jan 2024 | London, England, United Kingdom ### Level 1 Associate Product Manager @ Publicis Sapient Jan 2022 – Jan 2023 | London, England, United Kingdom ### Junior Associate Product Manager @ Publicis Sapient Jan 2021 – Jan 2022 | London, England, United Kingdom ### President @ Epigram Jan 2020 – Jan 2021 | Bristol, England, United Kingdom Managing Director of the 2020/21 Business Team for Epigram, the University of Bristol's independent student newspaper. ### Treasurer @ Epigram Jan 2019 – Jan 2020 | Bristol, England, United Kingdom Created detailed tracking systems which helped us keep within our budget, set monthly KPIs for our functions, and quickly make operational decisions.
