When faced with a problem, no matter how big or small, I try to design my solutions according to some main guiding principles:

1) Transparent and open communication

2) Respect for all stakeholders

3) First principles design, be it from an engineering point of view, from a scientific point of view, or from a business point of view

Beyond problem solving, I like an energetic and collaborative work environment. Nothing is more rewarding than solving a challenging problem with engineering, science, and a good team. 

More generally, I want to be the teammate that I want to have, and that means that I like to provide levity amongst my team using my improv skills, and that I also like being a good steward of team code by leaving it cleaner than when I encountered it.
