Projects include redesigned search flows, flexible dates, filtering and more. As well as a complete redesign of the homepage introducing a new default way to search with flexibility in mind. ### Senior Experience Designer @ Airbnb Jan 2017 – Jan 2021 | San Francisco Bay Area Worked on large guest-facing portions of Airbnb Plus during its inception and initial growth phase, including but not limited to the journey from entry to market specific Plus pages and the Plus editorialized listing pages. Now working on Search and Navigation. ### Lead Designer @ Swipe Labs Jan 2015 – Jan 2017 | San Francisco Bay Area My role at Swipe was extremely versatile, as early positions at small start-ups usually are. My tasks included collaborating on product design decisions, all UX and UI design work across three different apps, branding and logo design, illustrations and animations, web design for both mobile and desktop, prototyping and QA, communication with iOS, Android and back-end engineers, delivering specs and complete user flows, performing user research and conducting qualitative interviews. During my time here I've worked on (and shipped) three different apps: 1. Swipe (a social app that let you share photos from your camera roll with close friends and followers) 2. Channel (a media / social platform app for short vertical videos that was pioneered during the rise of video stories in popular apps like Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook Messenger) 3. ChitChat (a social messaging app that lets you see which of your friends are online and chatting right now, allowing you to easily join and meet friends of friends) ### Co Founder @ Gruppr Jan 2015 – Jan 2015 Gruppr was a side project that turned into a bootstrapped start-up effort between me and a couple of talented designers and coders. I worked on this project during my after work hours for a year but ultimately had to drop out after moving to San Francisco. ### Designer @ 55Fiction Jan 2012 – Jan 2015 55Fiction is my freelance design company based in the Netherlands that I've used for most of my freelance projects throughout the years. It's also the place for many of my collaborations with other designers, developers and other talented individuals. ### Freelance Designer @ Fantasy (Fi) Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 As one of my major clients as a freelance designer, I worked closely with the Fantasy team for close to a year. During my time with Fantasy I worked on projects for Google, HP, 23andMe and other amazing clients. ### Interactive Designer @ Supersteil Jan 2012 – Jan 2014 | Rotterdam Area, Netherlands I started at Supersteil as an intern in 2012, which was also my first internship in the creative industry. I was involved with brainstorming, concepting, interaction design and visual design. After my internship I was hired to work there part-time between school days and worked full-time during time off from school. During my time there I was contributing to both internal and external projects in small 2 or 3 person teams and eventually got to lead my own projects.
