Transitioned BlackRock's partner-facing APIs from a bespoke homegrown infrastructure to Apigee, enabling BlackRock to further monetize our APIs and provide improved analytics, telemetry, access control, and request validation on incoming API requests, as well as improve API platform stability and uptime

Designed and implemented an RFC 8693-compliant OAuth 2.0 token exchange flow in conjunction with several other internal teams to federate authentication with external IDPs and prevent cross-client access to APIs and underlying data

Improved and enhanced an internal BlackRock Python package used by quantitative researchers and portfolio managers (PMs) to identify undervalued investments and monitor portfolio performance, including functions to remove seasonal variation in data streams and adding Windows and macOS support

Wrote installation script for global team of researchers and PMs to setup their existing remote development environment on their Windows and macOS machines (i.e., enabled users around the world to localize their previously remote-only Red Hat server environment, reducing latency by 60-80%)

Brought interactive performance tracking tool in-house from a third-party vendor for BlackRock’s largest mutual fund (with $44bn AUM) and added support for international users ahead of a global roll out

Led a team to construct a mock portfolio as part of BlackRock’s Portfolio Challenge, creating a risk-parity portfolio that outperformed the Russell 1000 by 10 percentage points with a lower risk profile

Assisted BlackRock's Ethical, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing team by researching index providers' ESG index offerings

Led a team of 6 to create an Android application that fetches recipes from APIs based on ingredients the user has on hand

Implemented a naïve wine-suggestion algorithm to recommend a wine pairing for the selected recipe based off of a recipe’s ingredients
