# Eliana Phillips > Programmer/Analyst II at NCIRE/UCSF MedAI Lab Location: United States, United States Profile: https://flows.cv/elianaphillips As a detail-oriented programmer, interdisciplinary researcher, and team member at the UCSF Medical Imaging Informatics and AI Lab, I am passionate about using computational methods to improve diagnostics and deepen our understanding of brain health. I contribute to research in neuroimaging, computational neuroscience, and AI-driven biomedical data analysis and manage a processing pipeline for large MRI datasets. ## Work Experience ### Programmer/Analyst II @ NCIRE - The Northern California Institute for Research and Education Jan 2024 – Present | San Francisco, California, United States I research, design and implement deep learning-based solutions for Alzheimer's disease pathology and biomarker detection from neuroimaging data. Currently, I'm developing a deep learning model for predicting tau pathology from MRI scans. I also develop and manage an image processing pipeline for arterial spin labeling MRI data from the ADNI cohort for the purpose of analyzing changes in cerebral blood flow in Alzheimer's disease. ### Programmer/Analyst I @ NCIRE - The Northern California Institute for Research and Education Jan 2022 – Jan 2024 | San Francisco, California, United States ### Graduate Student Researcher @ University of California, Santa Cruz Jan 2021 – Jan 2021 Collaborated with PI Marcella Gomez, developed tools for computational analysis of the gene regulatory process of wound healing, and wrote Python scripts and use data science packages to take in gene ontology data and find statistically significant gene functions and pathways. ### Research Assistant @ University of California, Santa Cruz Jan 2019 – Jan 2021 Collaborated in research projects in Peter Alvaro's Disorderly Labs in the Computer Science department at UCSC. Developed algorithms for abstracting distributed systems traces. Wrote scripts (Python, SQL) to query sets of traces for various features and communication patterns. ### Intern @ Coloumbic, Inc Jan 2017 – Jan 2017 | Oakland, California Participated in business and technical meetings with founders, directors, & advisors of startup tech company. Assisted with electrochemical research to optimize performance of lithium-air batteries. Built prototypes of lithium-air batteries and analyzed performance. ## Education ### Master of Science - MS in Scientific Computing and Applied Mathematics University of California, Santa Cruz ### Bachelor of Arts - BA in Computational Mathematics University of California, Santa Cruz ### Physics Brandeis University ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/eliana-phillips-789b04175 - Website: https://medai.ucsf.edu/content/eliana-phillips --- Source: https://flows.cv/elianaphillips JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/elianaphillips/resume.json Last updated: 2026-04-05
