My responsibilities range from creating slick, interactive data visualizations with d3.js on the frontend to extending the functionality of our natural language processing pipeline on the backend. I’ve written Machine Learning scripts that are currently in use by our clients and helped build an infrastructure to allow our users to write their own custom Python extensions that can interact with and execute within our product. ### Research Assistant @ Georgia Institute of Technology Jan 2015 – Jan 2017 | Atlanta I worked in a soft condensed matter lab at Georgia Tech investigating the evolution of mechanical structure in multicellular yeast. I was the sole developer on a Python simulation that captured the relationship between the geometric properties of simulated yeast comprising a multicellular cluster and the mechanical properties of the cluster as a whole. Data from the simulation was a core part of a paper we published in Nature Physics, and a different dataset generated by the same simulation is featured in another paper pending review in Physical Review Letters E. My work on the simulation earned me the President's Undergraduate Research Award at Tech. ### Teaching Assistant -- Physics I @ Georgia Institute of Technology Jan 2014 – Jan 2015 ### Machine Learning Intern @ AnswerRocket Jan 2016 – Jan 2016 | Sandy Springs, GA Wrote a forecasting module that implemented the Holt-Winters algorithm from scratch for predicting the future values of time-series data, including gradient descent optimization to tune the model parameters toward minimum error. ## Education ### Doctor of Medicine - MD Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine ### Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics and Computer Science Georgia Institute of Technology Jan 2013 – Jan 2017 ## Contact & Social - LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/elyes-graba --- Source: https://flows.cv/elyes JSON Resume: https://flows.cv/elyes/resume.json Last updated: 2026-03-22
