• Senior Backend Engineer on the Platform Engineering team responsible for larger architectural decisions, internal libraries used by other backend engineers, and ingesting and aggregating financial data from multiple 3rd-party sources

• Led and implemented a project to automate manual fraud checks by integrating with a 3rd-party vendor, resulting in guaranteed fraud checks for 100% of users and near real-time detection of potentially fraudulent users. Balanced trade- offs of cost, required manual intervention, and potential for harmful fraudulent activity

• Migrated daily jobs from a legacy batch implementation to a reactive, event-based approach backed by SQS queues that significantly improved job speed as well as monitoring and observability. 94% of jobs were migrated without any issues and the new jobs ran 4x faster than the legacy jobs. • Led a project to integrate a 3rd-party SDK into a crucial part of the onboarding flow.
