I was the sole product designer there working on projects from end to end and engaging with all parts of the design process. I was also involved in product strategy, UX writing, service design, and design ops.

• Sole product designer responsible for 0-1 product design and design system
• Designed considering cohesion between the software, email communications, and in person meetings with experts
• Collaborated with CEO, expert stakeholders, PM, and engineers to make product decisions balancing user experience, timeframe, technical limitations, business impact and overall product vision
• Worked with engeering team to ship product at our quality bar and ensure I was designing within technical limitations
• Designed for a 60+ age target audience considering accessibility and a mixed user comfort level with technology

Upperstudy is a mentorship-focused design studio. They work primarily with startups designing 0-1 products and creating design systems. I was paired with and eventually hired by Sherlock.

• Created V1 of Sherlock’s design system

• Designed and ideated V1 of Sherlock’s Medicare experience with the product goal of instilling user confidence in ability to make a notoriously confusing insurance system work for them
